Kurt was born in a small village in Austria´s southern province Carinthia. After school he went to Vienna to study journalism. In 1992 he joined the Höhere Graphische Lehranstalt to study photography. Since then he has been working as a photographer for various magazines, artists and commercial clients. 

One of the highlights in his career was the shooting of the Sportmagazin Bikinikalender in Rio de Janeiro . A production which has been realized in the past by a number of world famous photographers like  Helmut Newton, David LaChapelle, Michel Comte, Oliviero Toscani and Andres H. Bitesnich.

Kurt works with his wife Marion Pinter, who is a specialist in organisation and production and an experienced car photographer too.
